Niles Hollowell-Dhar, better known by his stage name KSHMR, is an American DJ, record producer and musician. He is best known for his work with The Cataracs, on the song "Like a G6", which peaked at number one on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart, and for his solo work.
KSHMR was born in Berkeley, California, to Indian parents. He began playing the piano at the age of three, and started producing electronic music at the age of thirteen. He has cited Skrillex and Tiësto as his biggest influences.
KSHMR's first major release was with The Cataracs, on the song "Like a G6". The song peaked at number one on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart, and was certified six times platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
KSHMR's debut solo single, "Megalodon", was released in 2014, and peaked at number one on the Beatport 100 chart. He has since released a number of singles, including "Burn", "Secrets", "Wildcard", "Jammu", and "Kashmir". His debut studio album, Harmonica Andromeda, was released in 2018.
KSHMR has performed at a number of major music festivals, including Tomorrowland, Ultra Music Festival, and Coachella. In 2015, he was ranked at number twenty-three on DJ Mag's Top 100 DJs list.
