BIOGRAPHIE
DBL (real name David B. Lévesque) is a Canadian music producer, DJ and songwriter. He is best known for his work with the electronic music duo Crystal Castles.
DBL was born in Montreal, Quebec, and is of French-Canadian descent. He began making music at the age of 15, and has been producing and performing under the alias DBL since 2006.
DBL's music is a mix of electronic, hip hop and pop, with influences from a variety of genres including house, techno, dubstep and trap. He has released two albums as part of Crystal Castles, (III) in 2012 and (III) in 2016, as well as a number of singles and remixes.
DBL has also worked with a number of other artists, including Grimes, Purity Ring, HEALTH, and Alice Glass.
