Paloma Faith is an English singer and actress born on July 21, 1981 in the London borough of Hackney. She is known for her unique musical style, which blends soul, R&B, jazz, and pop, as well as for her energetic and colorful stage performances. Faith began her musical career in 2001 as a jazz and soul singer, and released her first album, Do You Want the Truth or Something Beautiful?, in 2009. In 2012, she found commercial success with her second album, Fall to Grace, which reached second place on the UK charts and was certified gold. Her third album, A Perfect Contradiction, was released in 2014 and peaked at number three in the UK. In 2016, she released her fourth album, The Architect, which reached second place on the UK charts. Faith has also appeared in several films and television shows, including St Trinian's (2007), The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus (2009), Going Postal by Terry Pratchett (2010) and Dickensian (2016).
