Major Lazer is an American electronic music group founded by producers Diplo and Switch in 2009. The group is known for its fusion of electronic music with elements of genres such as reggae, dancehall, moombahton, and trap. Since its inception, Major Lazer has undergone member changes. After Switch's departure in 2011, he was joined by DJs and producers Jillionaire and Walshy Fire. Later, in 2019, Ape Drums joined the group in place of Jillionaire.
