Halsey, whose real name is Ashley Nicolette Frangipane, is an American singer and songwriter. She was born on September 29, 1994 in New Jersey. She started writing music at the age of 17 and gained recognition on social media by sharing her music on the online platform SoundCloud. In 2014, she signed her first record deal with Astralwerks and released her first EP, Room 93, later that year. In 2015, Halsey released her first studio album, "Badlands", which reached number two on the Billboard 200 chart and was certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). Her second studio album, "Hopeless Fountain Kingdom", released in 2017, reached the number one spot on the Billboard 200 chart. She has won numerous awards for her music, including two Billboard Music Awards and a Grammy Award for Best Pop Solo Performance.
