Ariana Grande is an American music artist who achieved international success with her debut album, Yours Truly. Grande followed this with a second album, My Everything, which topped the Billboard 200 chart in the United States. Grande was born in 1993 in Boca Raton, Florida, and began her career in the performing arts at the age of 8. Grande performed in several Broadway musicals before focusing on her recording career. Grande signed with Republic Records in 2011 and released her first single, "The Way," in March 2013. "The Way" reached number eleven on the Billboard Hot 100 and was certified platinum by the RIAA. Grande then released her debut album, Yours Truly, in September 2013. The album topped the Billboard 200 chart and was certified double platinum by the RIAA. Grande released her second album, My Everything, in August 2014. The album also reached number one on the Billboard 200 chart and was certified platinum by the RIAA. Grande released her third album, Dangerous Woman, in May 2016. The album reached number two on the Billboard 200 chart and was certified platinum by the RIAA.
