Thomas Petersen (born 22 January 1967 in Hamburg) is a German composer, music producer and DJ. He is best known for his work in the field of electronic dance music and as the founder of the record label Kontor Records.
Petersen began his career as a DJ in the 1980s. In the early 1990s, he started to produce his own music and soon became one of the most successful producers in the German dance music scene. In 1995, he founded Kontor Records, which became one of the leading dance music labels in Germany.
Petersen has produced numerous hits, including "Eye of the Tiger" by DJ Shog, "Sound of My Dreams" by Klubbheads, and "Seven Days and One Week" by BBE. He has also remixed tracks by artists such as Madonna, Britney Spears, and Kylie Minogue.
In recent years, Petersen has focused on composing music for film and television. He has composed the scores for the films "The Wave" (2008), "Berlin Calling" (2008), and "Who Am I – No System Is Safe" (2014).
