Steve Aoki is a world-renowned American musical artist, DJ, producer, and founder of the DIM MAK label. Born on November 30, 1977 in Miami, he grew up in Newport Beach, California before moving to Los Angeles. Aoki began his musical career in the mid-90s by organizing concerts for hardcore punk bands. In the early 2000s, he founded his label DIM MAK, which helped launch artists such as The Kills, Bloc Party, The Gossip, and The Bloody Beetroots. Alongside his work as a producer, Aoki started producing his own music, and his DJ career really took off in 2006 with the release of his first official mix, "Pillowface and His Airplane Chronicles." With a distinctive musical style blending electro-house, dubstep, and trap, Steve Aoki is known for his energetic and interactive performances. He has been nominated for two Grammy Awards and is considered one of the most prolific DJs in the global electronic music scene. Since the start of his career, Steve Aoki has collaborated with many renowned artists including Will.i.am, Afrojack, LMFAO, Linkin Park, Iggy Azalea, and Fall Out Boy. In 2012, his album "Wonderland" was nominated for a Grammy Award. In addition to his music career, Steve Aoki is also a committed philanthropist. He founded the Aoki Foundation to support research on the brain and neurodegenerative diseases, as well as humanitarian organizations working in the areas of mental health, human rights, and education.
