Paul Parker (born October 24, 1960) is an American singer, songwriter, and record producer. He is best known for his work in the 1980s with the group Newcleus and as a solo artist.
Parker was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. He began his musical career as a member of the group Newcleus. The group's biggest hit was "Jam On It", which peaked at #8 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1984.
After leaving Newcleus, Parker began a solo career. He released his debut album, Paul Parker, in 1986. The album's lead single, "Right On Target", peaked at #36 on the Hot Dance Club Songs chart.
Parker has continued to release music throughout the years. His most recent album, The Re-Emergence of Paul Parker, was released in 2014.
Parker has also worked as a producer and remixer. He has produced tracks for artists such as Madonna, Kylie Minogue, and Britney Spears.
