Jess Carroll is a country and pop music artist. Born and raised in Nashville, Tennessee, she is the daughter of country musicians and started playing the guitar and singing at a young age. After making her professional start in Nashville's clubs and releasing independent albums, Jess signed with Big Machine Records in 2010, releasing her first album "My Way" the same year. The album was a success and reached number one on the country albums chart. Jess has since released two other albums, "A Thousand Miles" in 2012 and "Startin' Over" in 2013. Her songs have been played on country and pop radio, and she has made numerous television and radio appearances. In 2014, Jess was named "Female Artist of the Year" at the Country Music Association Awards and "Artist of the Year" at the Academy of Country Music Awards.
