Funk Machine is a French musical group specializing in funk and disco music, originating from Paris. The group consists of seven musicians and singers: Nicolas Repac (lead vocals, keyboards), Benjamin Morando (guitar), Thomas Darnault (bass), Loïc Pontieux (drums), Julien Herné (percussions), Lionel Boccara (saxophone) and Vincent Baguian (trumpet). The group was formed in 2013 by Nicolas Repac and Benjamin Morando, two musicians passionate about funk and disco music from the 1970s. They were joined by Thomas Darnault, Loïc Pontieux, Julien Herné, Lionel Boccara and Vincent Baguian, and began playing in clubs and bars in Paris. In 2014, the group released their first album, "Funk Machine", which was well received by critics. The group then embarked on a tour in France and Europe, playing at various festivals including the Montreux Jazz Festival, Vienne Jazz Festival, and North Sea Jazz Festival. In 2016, the group released their second album, "Dance", which was even more acclaimed than the first. The group continued to perform at festivals and clubs, and also made appearances on radio and television.
