BIOGRAPHY
Coldplay is a British rock band formed in 1996 in London. It consists of Chris Martin (vocals, piano), Jonny Buckland (guitar), Guy Berryman (bass) and Will Champion (drums, vocals). The band achieved international success with its first two albums, "Parachutes" (2000) and "A Rush of Blood to the Head" (2002), which were both certified multi-platinum in many countries. Their third album, "X&Y" (2005), was a commercial success, but was less well received by critics. Their fourth album, "Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends" (2008), sold over seven million copies worldwide, and was certified platinum seven times in the United States. In 2012, they released "Mylo Xyloto", which debuted at number one in 34 countries, and was certified platinum seven times in the United States. Their fifth album, "Ghost Stories" (2014), was a commercial success, but was less well received by critics. Their sixth album, "A Head Full of Dreams" (2015), was also a commercial success, reaching the top spot in many countries. In 2016, they released an EP of covers, "Kaleidoscope EP", and in 2017, they released a live album, "Live in Buenos Aires."
