Chicane

BIOGRAPHY

Chicane is a British musical artist, whose real name is Nicholas Bracegirdle. He is known to be a talented producer of trance and electronic music. Born on February 28, 1971 in London, he has always been deeply involved in music and has managed to build a successful career. Nicholas adopted the name Chicane because of his love for car racing; "chicane" is a term used in motorsport to refer to a sharp turn in a circuit. In 1996, he made his debut with the album "Far From The Maddening Crowds" which includes the successful single "Offshore". His second album, "Behind The Sun", released in 2000, was certified gold in the UK and features hit tracks like "Don't Give Up" (with Bryan Adams) and "Saltwater" (with Maire Brennan of Clannad). The latter single reached the top of the dance charts in the US. Throughout his career, Chicane has collaborated with many artists such as Tom Jones, Bryan Adams, and Natasha Bedingfield. With a musical career spanning over two decades, he continues to produce successful music and perform at festivals and concerts worldwide.
