BIOGRAPHY

Aloe Blacc, born Egbert Nathaniel Dawkins III on January 7, 1979, in Laguna Hills, California, is an American musician known for his work in the genres of soul, R&B, and funk music. Before embarking on a solo career, Aloe Blacc began in the hip-hop duo Emanon with producer Exile in the mid-1990s. He gained international recognition with his single "I Need a Dollar" in 2010, which was used as the theme for the television series "How to Make It in America." His third album, "Lift Your Spirit," was released in 2013 and was nominated for a Grammy Award in the category of best R&B album. The album includes the hit "The Man," which topped the charts in several countries. Aloe Blacc is also known for his collaboration with Swedish DJ Avicii on the song "Wake Me Up," which was a worldwide success. In addition to his musical career, Aloe Blacc is actively engaged in social and humanitarian causes, using his music as a platform to raise awareness and generate positive change.
