The Wildhearts are an English rock band, formed in 1989 in Newcastle upon Tyne. Their musical style is a mix of hard rock, glam rock, and heavy metal, often described as "melodic metal". They experienced mainstream success in the 1990s with their album Earth vs. the Wildhearts, which reached number 7 on the UK Albums Chart. However, the band has faced numerous lineup changes and extended breaks throughout their career. Despite this, they continue to record and perform live.
