Wallpaper, also known as Ricky Reed, is an American producer, songwriter, and musician based in Oakland, California. He is best known for his work with artists such as Jason Derulo, Twenty One Pilots, and 5 Seconds of Summer. Raised in the Los Angeles suburbs, Reed began playing music at a young age. He started out playing drums in punk and hardcore bands, before moving on to guitar and teaching himself how to play. He later studied music at the University of California, Berkeley. After completing his studies, Reed began working as a producer and songwriter in the San Francisco Bay Area music scene. He quickly garnered the attention of Jason Derulo, who tapped Reed to produce his 2010 album, Future History. The album was a commercial success, with hit singles "In My Head" and "Don't Wanna Go Home." Reed has since produced and co-written songs for numerous other artists, including Twenty One Pilots, 5 Seconds of Summer, and Meghan Trainor. He has also released his own music under the name Wallpaper., with the albums Doodoo Face (2012) and Ricky Reed Is Real (2015).
