Takahiro Yoshihira (吉平 孝弘, Yoshihira Takahiro, born October 10, 1976), better known by his stage name TAKUYA, is a Japanese rock musician, singer, songwriter and record producer. He is best known as the lead vocalist and guitarist of the rock band Glay. Yoshihira was born in Shimonoseki, Yamaguchi, Japan. He began playing the guitar at the age of 15. In 1992, he formed the band Glay with his school friends Teru and Akira. The band released their debut album, Hail to the King, in 1994. The album was a commercial success, selling over a million copies. Glay's second album, Beat Out!, was released in 1995. The album was another commercial success, selling over two million copies. In 1996, Yoshihira and his bandmates released their third album, Heavy Gauge. The album was another commercial success, selling over three million copies.
