Grant Smillie is an Australian music producer, DJ, and singer, known for being the co-founder of Australian dance music group TV Rock. Smillie began his career as a DJ in Melbourne clubs in the 1990s. In 2003, he formed TV Rock with DJ and producer Ian Carey. The group found success with singles "Flaunt It", "Been a Long Time", and "In the Air". In 2010, Smillie launched his own clothing line.
Born in Melbourne, Australia, Smillie grew up in the suburb of Glen Waverley. At the age of 15, he began working as a DJ in Melbourne clubs. In 2003, he formed TV Rock with DJ and producer Ian Carey, achieving success with their singles "Flaunt It", "Been a Long Time", and "In the Air". In 2010, Smillie launched his own clothing line.
In 2012, Smillie was named one of the world's top 100 DJs by DJ Magazine. In 2013, he was named one of the 30 most influential Australians under 30 by the magazine 30 Under 30. In 2014, he was recognized as one of the 200 most influential Australians of all time by the Australian Financial Review.
