Cid is a French singer and songwriter. He was born in Paris, France, on October 9, 1983. Cid began his musical career in his childhood by singing in choirs and participating in school theater plays. Later, he joined a rock group called Les Wampas, with whom he released two albums. Cid's solo career truly began in 2010 with the release of his first album, J'aime ma vie. This album was a critical and commercial success, and Cid quickly became one of the most popular singers in France. He has since released two other albums, Cid (2012) and Dans ma peau (2014), both of which were well-received by the public and critics. Cid is known for his catchy pop-influenced songs and energetic live performances. He has won numerous awards, including a Victoire de la Musique and an NRJ Music Award.
