Andrew Consoli is a contemporary classical music artist born in 1977 in New York. He began studying piano and composition as a child and continued his musical studies at Columbia University. After graduating, he pursued further education at Juilliard School of Music, and obtained his doctorate in music at Princeton University in 2003.
Prolific composer and pianist, Andrew Consoli has written numerous works for piano, orchestra, ensembles, and choirs, which have been performed worldwide. In 2009, he won the prestigious Grawemeyer Composition Award for his "Piano Sonata No. 2". His creations are influenced by various musical genres such as classical, jazz, and popular music.
In addition to his artistic career, Andrew Consoli is also a renowned educator. He has taught music at Columbia University, Princeton University, and Juilliard School of Music, and has conducted master classes around the world. In 2010, he was appointed as a music professor at Yale University.
